MT-II Explained

Melanotan II (MT-II) is a cyclic synthetic analog of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. It binds non-selectively across MC1R, MC3R, MC4R and MC5R receptors.

MC1R engagement drives melanogenesis in melanocytes; MC4R modulation is linked to central appetite pathways. This receptor promiscuity is both its research value and its complication — data must be interpreted carefully.
