What are Research Peptides?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids linked by peptide bonds, typically between 2 and 50 residues in length. Research peptides are synthetically manufactured for laboratory investigation only — they are not therapeutic agents.

Manufacturing is performed via solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), refined through reverse-phase HPLC and confirmed by mass spectrometry. A high-quality lot will demonstrate purity above 98%, low endotoxin, and a clean impurity profile.

Because a research peptide's biological signal depends entirely on its structural integrity, purity is the single most important quality metric. A peptide of nominal identity but with 5% truncated sequences will produce noisy, non-reproducible data.
